I'm Chris Terry, and for 22 years I've photographed conferences, galas, and corporate events for brands of every size. I know what you actually need out of the day: the speaker at the moment the room leans in, the handshake that means something, the unguarded laugh between sessions that a posed shot never catches.
I came up shooting live music, six years photographing artists like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Flo Rida, where the light is terrible, the moment happens once, and nobody gets a second take. That is the whole skill set, moved indoors. I read a room fast and I'm in position before the thing happens, not after. I've also been flying camera drones since 2011, back when bringing one to a corporate event was a very strange conversation, so aerial coverage comes FAA-certified and built in.
Most of my work is here in San Diego, but I travel for multi-day conferences and brand activations when the dates line up. On site I keep a light footprint: no rearranging your run-of-show around my camera, no flash in anyone's face mid-conversation. The events run the full range, from 40-person board dinners to keynotes with two thousand people in the seats, and my approach holds either way. If your team needs a few frames for social or the press room before the night is over, I can cut a select set on the spot.
More than 600 events later, 98% of my clients book me again. Your gallery arrives within 48 hours, edited and ready to use.
